Boston street art museum opens its doors to the public

NEW YORK — BOSTON’S BOSTON STREET ART MUSEUM, or BSTM, has officially opened its doors for the first time to the general public.

Its website says it is an independent museum that “provides the highest quality and greatest opportunity to discover and experience art from around the world.”

The museum was first opened in 2006 and features art that is “created and displayed by local artists and craftsmen.”

The museum has an annual visitor count of more than 1.5 million.

It was opened in conjunction with the Boston Street Art Festival, which takes place this year in the city.

The festival has become a mainstay of Boston’s art scene.
